Sheep Shippin

Our Favorite Family Vacation
Labor Day Weekend

Love this picture!!
Matthew was a holy terror the whole way up. The kids both fell asleep as we left the house and as we pulled into Shoshone they both popped up with 2 1/2 hrs of the trip left. Matthew is just a little pill to travel with. One minute he wants fed, the next he wants out, the next he wants a drink, then it all starts over. He's somewhat tolerable as long as your shoving food down his throat, but as soon as you run out or he decides he wants a different snack, the fun is over. He's usually covered in junk food and his drink by the time we arrive at our destination. The reason he doesn't have a shirt on in this picture would be because, he had messy diaper and by the time I got done changing him is was every where, and his suitcase was buried at the bottom of the pickup. Luckily he slept the majority of the way home.

I'm freeeee, no car seat.
Luke playing dead

My Po, po, poker face, Luke loves that song.
We had nothing to do one day so we along with Katie and Riley and friends took a little drive to the Custer area.  We saw the old dredge and then took in a little history lesson at the old town of Custer.  Jeff was way more interested in it than everybody else.

Board Meeting to start the shipping:)

Luke wanted so badly to go help put the lambs on the truck.  It was real early and he was a trooper, but he got pretty cold. So after the first truck was loaded we headed  back to camp to start breakfast.
The wolves howled all night long, and he got scared. To be honest I was pretty scared to. They were so close, just over the mountain, and were so loud. None of us slept much that night. Luke got into bed with us that night, and every time the wolves would howl he asked his dad to cover his ears so he couldn't hear them. They got into the sheep two nights in a row. The third night my dad camped out by the sheep so he could get them, and what do ya know, they didn't come back.
Home Sweet Home

Big gulp baby!!

On the way home these two kids were tuckered out.  It was a fun filled weekend with lots of work and play that wore us all out.
