We made a couple of family trips to get firewood this year. Luke and Matt, to my surprise, were great helpers. They would roll the logs down the mountain or pick up small ones and carry them to the trailer. When they weren't working hard they were ride there stick horses around. It was alot of hard work but fun at the same time. We got to make some good memories with our family. On the trip we took to Stanley, we packed our walkie talkies so we could talk to each other of Galena. On our way home we got pulled over by some ranger guy. He just wanted to make sure we had all our paper work and all our lights work and so on. We were suppose to travel with my parents since all the permits were in her name, but we didn't know that. As were sitting there my parents, whose tail lights are flickering because they have a bad connection, drive by. Then Glade Gentry, my parents friends, who has absolutely no tail lights, fly by. They never even got stopped and it was dark. So the ranger gets back in his pickup and I'm talking to Jeff on the walkie talkie about what's going on and this guy is being a jerk. At the same time he stops, gets out of his truck and comes over to my pickup and proceeds to tell me why he stopped us and by the way I can hear everything your talking about on your walkie talkie. What. I was so embarrassed. I should of been like check that guy out he's pretty cute. It was pretty funny because Jeff always double checks all his lights and permits. Then my parents who are always breaking some law, like pulling a trailer that's never been registered or no tail lights, never get stopped. Oh well it made for a pretty funny story.
