This cutie pie started Kindergarten. At first he rode the bus with his cousin Megan to get used to the bus and so he didn't have to get up so early. We have since put him on our bus (at 6:55 a.m.), and he absolutely loves it. He has to trade buses, so the first time, I waited where he trades buses to see if he could do it by himself. The bus driver had asked an older kid to help him. He did totally awesome and it didn't even phase him. I on the other hand was sitting in the pickup bawling my eyes out. He just looked so little compared to those big kids and it made me sad that he is big enough to ride a school bus, but he is, and continues to love it. He loves it so much that on days that I volunteer at his school and could give him ride, I have to do some serious sweet talking to get him to ride with me. We have learned that Luke needs lots and lots of sleep to function happily. He goes to bed most nights at 7:30. If he goes any later than that, then beware of the monster that he becomes the next day. It's crazy how different your life is when you have a kid in school. We have to be on a pretty tight schedule every night so we can fit in dinner, homework, bath, scriptures and prayer, reading books, all before 7:30 bedtime. It's actually been a good thing because we all get up together in the morning, (most mornings), and get to spend time together. Jeff is so good to help Luke get going in the morning and lets me sleep in a few extra minutes. Luke hasn't been late to school once so far and being related to me that's a miracle. Anyone who went to school with me can second that. He loves everything about school excep getting up in the mornings. I can only hope he continues to love ot for just a little while longer. Luke is always so excited to get home and play with Matthew after school. They have so much fun together and are very creative. Lately they pretend they are camping. They ride the 4-wheeler around the yard with their blue and green water goggles on that are suppose to be their binoculars. That way they can see the deer and elk better. Then BAM they shoot them with their guns. Or they play farm or cows inside. What a great time they have together. I am amazed at the boy Luke is growing up to be and look forward to watching him grow.

What an adorable little Kindergartner you have. Isn't it crazy that we have kids old enough to be in school? Crazy, but so fun. I hear you on the nightly routine and how it's hard to fit it all in. My kids go to bed at 6:00 p.m. because they wake up early and need lots of sleep too. With my oldest getting busy with sports and after school activities, we sometimes have to push back their bedtime, but we can't do it very often or we pay for it!
I can't believe he gets on the busy before 7:00 a.m. What a big boy! He's so cute.
